Plot Summary:

In 1916, an ordinary girl named Qian Baobao (played by Joe Chen) steps into the shoes of Xiao Han (played by Zheng Shuang), a young female PhD who died unexpectedly, in order to save her gravely ill mother. Caught between Shen Wentao (played by Bosco Wong), who ardently pursues her, and Xiao Han’s fiancé, Xiang Hao (played by Jia Nailiang), Qian Baobao must conceal her true identity—avoiding both Xiang Hao’s growing feelings for her and Shen Wentao’s suspicions and probing inquiries. Amid this tangled web of emotions, a crisis looms: it turns out Xiao Han is not dead at all, and her return forces Qian Baobao to confront a moral dilemma. Meanwhile, Japanese criminal syndicates eye Longcheng with sinister intent, plunging the military academy into peril. United by their sense of duty to country and nation, Qian Baobao and a group of passionate young men stand shoulder to shoulder, thwarting the enemy’s plots time and again and defusing the crisis. In the end, Qian Baobao and Xiang Hao find their destined happiness.
