Plot Summary:

The eldest disciple of the Huashan Sect, Linghu Chong, was by nature open‑minded and unrestrained. At first, his martial arts were unremarkable; but after encountering a master who taught him the “Lone‑Sword Nine Techniques,” he unexpectedly mastered the essence of swordsmanship from all five major sects. This drew the suspicion of his master, Yue Buqun, who used it as an excuse to expel him. In truth, Yue Buqun appeared upright on the surface but was inwardly treacherous; in his quest to seize the legendary secret manual, the “Sunflower Manual,” he schemed to set the martial world’s various sects against one another—only to ultimately bring ruin upon himself. From childhood, Linghu Chong had been deeply in love with Yue Lingshan, Yue Buqun’s daughter. Yet when Lin Pingzhi entered the scene, Yue Lingshan turned her heart to him. Later, Linghu Chong met Ren Yingying, the only daughter of the Blackwood Cliff leader, and the two found their spirits in perfect harmony.
