Plot Summary:

Wang Hanhui (played by Chen Zhaorong) was wrongly accused by his own brother of colluding with bandits and murdering their father, after which he was scorned and cast out from his family. From then on, he fled into the wilderness, and through a series of fortuitous circumstances, he took up arms and became a bandit—though his heart remained steadfast in its integrity and kindness. When he witnessed his country teetering on the brink of ruin and his homeland ravaged by war, he resolutely joined the anti-Japanese resistance, thus forging the legendary tale of a “bandit king.”
