Plot Summary:

     During the Ming Dynasty, Yu Qilin arrived in the capital alone, bearing a token from his adoptive mother, and happened to meet Jin Yuanbao, the young master of the Jin family. The two quarreled, and inadvertently learned that Madam Gu was the sole witness to the injustice that had befallen his adoptive mother years earlier. Jiang Xiaoxuan, the eldest daughter of the Jiang clan, was betrothed to Jin Yuanbao by imperial decree, but amid the chaos she fled her wedding and was rescued by Gu Changfeng. To verify Jin Yuanbao’s true identity, Yu Qilin took his place as a bride at the Jin household, becoming a bickering yet endearing pair with him. Eventually, Jin Yuanbao’s real identity was confirmed, Yu Qilin’s deception was exposed, and the heinous deeds of Lady Jin were laid bare. Overwhelmed, Jin Yuanbao left the Jin residence. As the Jin family faced crisis, Yu Qilin remained steadfastly by his side. In the end, the truth came to light, Lady Jin repented deeply, and the entire family began a new chapter in their lives.
