Plot Summary:

     During the prosperous Tang Dynasty, Bai Li Tususu, the disciple of Master Zi Yin, harbored a mysterious aura of malevolence within him, sustained by the Fenji Sword. Suppression. While slaying bandits at Fan Yun Village, he befriended Ouyang Shaogong and Fang Lansheng. Shaogong was a disciple of the Qingyu Sect; after Elder Lei Yan usurped the throne, Shaogong fled in search of the whereabouts of the “Yu Heng.” As Shaogong was busy concocting a elixir to revive the dead, Tusuo saw a chance to bring his mother back to life and set out alongside him. Along the way, Tusuo met Feng Qingxue and Xiangling, a fox who had taken human form. Hongyu, dispatched by Master Ziyin, secretly guarded Tusuo, repeatedly averting peril. When Shaogong finally completed the elixir, Tusuo’s mother awoke—only then did Tusuo learn that his mother had been harmed by Ouyang Shaogong. Lei Yan sent men to seize Shaogong and urged him to join forces in a grand scheme. While exploiting Lei Yan’s trust to craft a poison that would kill him, Shaogong secretly plotted to use the Yu Heng to subdue Tusuo, thus restoring the Penglai cause. Fang Lansheng uncovered Shaogong’s treachery; Tusuo broke free from his seal and, together with the others, journeyed to Penglai to confront Shaogong, where the latter was slain. In the end, Fang Lansheng, Hongyu, and the others each found their own place, and Tusuo too united in marriage with Feng Qingxue.
