Jointly produced by Happiness Blue Ocean, Bona Film Group, Guowen Pictures, and Nantong Radio and Television Station, and post‑produced by the Zhu Brothers, the grand drama “Rivers and Waters,” a tribute to the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up, has officially set its release date: it will premiere on Jiangsu TV at 7:30 p.m. on December 14, 2018. The series chronicles an old port that, under the leadership of its new director, Jiang He, stays true to its original mission while boldly advancing reform and innovation. Interwoven with themes of combating corruption, cracking down on smuggling, and poignant personal relationships, the show offers richer visual and narrative appeal than previous works in similar genres.
