Plot Summary:
In 1998, as the financial crisis erupted, Jiang Chang’en, who was at the helm of Kangrong Enterprises, seized the opportunity to acquire Gao’s company, driving its leader, Gao Qiliang, to a dead end. Fifteen years later, Gao Qiliang’s son, now known as Luo Hao, infiltrated Kangrong. Meanwhile, Jiang Yan, the son of Jiang Chang’en, found himself plunged into a freezing abyss overnight—first by his father’s imprisonment, then by the Jiang family’s bankruptcy, and finally by his mother’s illness—forcing him to join Kangrong Securities and start from the very bottom as a junior stockbroker. Repeated setbacks taught Jiang Yan for the first time the coldness of human relationships and the painful lessons of growing up. Xia Bing, outwardly aloof but inwardly kind, offered Jiang Yan the warmest support in his darkest hour, and their hearts drew ever closer. At the same time, Jiang Yan’s friends were navigating a vibrant yet harsh chapter of youth: breakups and makeups, trials and tribulations, and even a brush with life and death and a devastating disaster. Only after enduring it all did they come to grasp the true meaning of life and learn to cherish the happiness right before them. Jiang Yan and Xia Bing rekindled their bond, while Jiang Yan and Luo Hao, too, put their past grievances behind them with a smile. Together, this group of young people wrote the most radiant, unforgettable chapters of their lives.
