　　Yan Chixia (Louis Koo) Shi) In his youth, he fell in love with Xiao Qian (played by Liu Yifei), but bound by his duty as a demon hunter, he could only bear the pain of letting her go. Rather than killing her, he caused her to lose her memory. He joined forces with Xia Xuefenglei (played by Fan Shaohuang) to confront the Black Mountain Old Demon (played by Wai Ying-hung), who sacrificed her left arm to seal the beast. One day, Ning Caichen (played by Yu Shaoqun) was dispatched to Heishan Village to help the villagers find a water source. Though the village chief (played by Xu Jinjiang) and others were well aware of the demon lurking in the mountains, they kept the truth from him. Accompanied by the villager Tieya (played by Li Jing), Ning Caichen led a group of death-row inmates up the mountain in search of water. When they reached Lanruo Temple, they unexpectedly discovered a spring—and there, for the first time, he met Xiao Qian. The two fell deeply in love at first sight. News of this reached the Black Mountain Old Demon, who subjected them to brutal torture in an attempt to extract information. Yan Chixia repeatedly tried to dissuade Ning Caichen from becoming entangled in a romance between a human and a demon, but Ning remained utterly devoted to Xiao Qian. Despite knowing she was a demon, he repeatedly risked his life, showing no sign of backing down. Yan Chixia found himself torn, while meanwhile, the Black Mountain Old Demon had already begun her vengeful scheme…
