Plot Summary:

　　In the chaotic era of the Three Kingdoms, war raged on all fronts. Facing the formidable advance of Cao Wei’s forces, Zhao Yun—then a newly appointed engineer (played by Andy Lau)—volunteered for duty and, with the help of strategist Zhuge Liang (played by Pu Cunxin) and his strategy of turning defense into offense, achieved a remarkable feat by raiding enemy camps and disrupting their lines. At the Battle of Changban, Zhao Yun single-handedly charged into Cao Cao’s camp to rescue the young emperor, instantly earning fame. He was soon entrusted with a critical mission: alongside the veteran General Huang Zhong, he marched to Dingjun Mountain, captured Hanzhong, and laid the foundation for the Shu state. Yet in that campaign, Huang Zhong, eager to claim the greatest glory, launched an early assault and fell into Cao Cao’s treacherous trap, suffering heavy casualties. In the face of crisis, Zhao Yun arrived just in time to save Huang Zhong and Luo Ping’an (played by Sammo Hung), and, with Zhuge Liang’s masterful plan, set fire to the Cao army’s supply depots, turning the tide of battle and securing a decisive victory. For this, Zhao Yun was promoted to one of the Five Tiger Generals, while his fellow townsman and elder brother, Luo Ping’an, could not help but feel a complex mix of emotions. Time slipped away amid the wars, and the Five Tiger Generals of Shu one by one passed away. Before Zhuge Liang’s next grand campaign to vanquish Wei, Zhao Yun insisted on leading the vanguard—but at Mount Fengming, he confronted Cao Cao’s mighty army of 100,000 troops.
