“The Beneficiary” is a drama film produced by Ning Hao, directed by Shen Ao, and starring Da Peng, Liu Yan, and Zhang Zixian.
The film tells the story of Wu Hai, who, in order to treat his six-year-old son’s asthma, is egged on by his friend Zhong Zhenjiang to deliberately get to know Miao Miao, an online female streamer who, like him, finds herself on the margins and at the bottom of society, and resolves to orchestrate a marriage scam with ulterior motives.
