“Chao Ge” is a historical fantasy romance series co-directed by Li Dachao, Liu Zhenming, Ren Haiyao, and Zhu Li, with Yu Zheng serving as the executive producer and screenwriter. It stars Zhang Zhehan and Wu Jinyan in the leading roles, alongside Bao Jianfeng, Xu Kai, Gillian Chung, Mi Re, Wu Jiayi, Bai Lu, He Fengtian, Li Yitong, and others.

The series primarily tells the story of Ji Fa, the son of King Ji Chang of Xiqi, who, from a young age, took his elder brother Bo Yikao’s place and served as a hostage in the capital, Chaoge, under the name of the firstborn. While in Chaoge, he aided people from all quarters and came to be known as a wise and virtuous sage of his time.
