Plot Summary:

The series chronicles the 1990s, following the three Lu siblings as they grow up together in Shanghai’s traditional lane neighborhoods. Over more than two decades—through periods of economic upheaval and the tumultuous rise of China’s capital markets—it traces their lives and the challenges they face. Lu Jiangtao loses himself in the pursuit of wealth; his pragmatic approach seems to pave the way in a harsh reality, yet his relentless drive gradually erodes his moral compass, sealing his tragic fate.
