Plot Summary:

Set against the grand backdrop of the Tang Dynasty during the reign of Empress Wu Zetian, He Lanjun, a renowned male physician celebrated for his beauty‑enhancing skills (played by Jin Shijia), finds his greatest joy at the Imperial Medical Bureau in shaping the court ladies into blossoms of unparalleled grace. Yet his extraordinary medical prowess stirs envy and malice among those of lower station, leading to slander and betrayal. To make matters worse, He Lanjun discovers that his own child is not his flesh and blood—his wife, Xue Ji, bore it with another man. Abandoned by his wife and left with nowhere to turn, he ends up on the streets, where he is taken in by Su Lianyi, a passionate yet pragmatic courtesan whose lifelong dream is to marry him (played by Yang Rong).
