Plot Summary:

     In 1916, the commoner girl Qian Baobao. To save her critically ill mother, she stepped in to take the place of Xiao Han, a female PhD who had studied abroad and died unexpectedly. On one hand, there is Shen Wentao, whom she ardently pursues. On one side was Xiao Han’s fiancé, Xiang Hao. To keep her true identity hidden, Qian Baobao must both evade the growing feelings between herself and Xiang Hao and dispel Shen Wentao’s suspicions and probing. Amid this tangled web of emotions, a crisis emerges: it turns out that Xiao Han is not dead, and her return forces Qian Baobao to confront a moral reckoning. Meanwhile, Japan’s shadowy underworld eyes Longcheng with ill intent, plunging the military academy into peril. Standing together in the name of their country and national duty, Qian Baobao and a band of passionate young men unite as one, repeatedly thwarting the enemy’s schemes and defusing the crisis. In the end, Qian Baobao and Xiang Hao, lovers at last, are united in marriage.
