The show’s robust production team, both in the early and later stages, is one of “Burning’s” key strengths. Co-produced by the Publicity Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security and the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department, it ensures the series’ “professionalism” across every aspect—costumes, makeup, props, and set design. The series is penned and directed by acclaimed screenwriter Chen Yuxin, whose previous works—including “Operation Icebreak,” “The Mekong River Case,” and “National Action”—have all enjoyed critical acclaim and strong ratings, making this project a well‑deserved choice for fans of crime dramas.

This time, the Zhu brothers were also fortunate enough to take part in post-production. Amid a last-minute move, the visual effects team worked overtime without delaying the project’s timeline.
