　　The Qingming Treasure Sword was the cherished blade of the legendary swordsman Li Mubai. Twenty years ago, Li Mubai bestowed it upon the Iron Beile. Bearing the spirit of chivalry that defined both Li Mubai and the Iron Beile, the Qingming Sword has come to serve as a veritable banner, commanding the martial world.

　　The outcast of Wudang, Dai Yanwang, launched a nighttime raid on the residence of the Iron Young Beile in his quest to seize the Ancient Qingming Sword. The deceived Luo Xiaohu unwittingly aided him in his wicked scheme. After Yu Jiaolong gave birth to a son, Tie Ping (played by Liu Chengyu), she was secretly switched with a daughter, Xueping. Xueping, who had been raised as her foster daughter, secretly helped her and Tie Ping—father and son—reunite. In the ensuing chaotic battle across the martial world, all assembled forces finally captured Dai Yanwang.

　　With the passing of Iron Beile, the martial world is left leaderless, and the dark sects’ notorious villains, led by the sinister Dai Yama, are stirring once more. Yu Xiulian (played by Michelle Yeoh) joins forces with her old friend Meng Sizhao (played by Donnie Yen) to return to the fray, as the loves, hates, and vendettas of both the older generation of heroes and the new wave of warriors become entangled in a bloody struggle for the legendary sword.
