Plot Summary:

The timid Li Shuaiting (played by Yue Yunpeng) has been secretly in love with his classmate Zhang Zimo (played by Yuan Shanshan) since their university days. When he finally mustered the courage to confess, he was cruelly mocked in front of everyone, leaving the already insecure Li Shuaiting even more self‑doubting. Soon after, he “hid” himself in a high‑end nursing home, taking a job as a caregiver. For six years, he devoted himself to caring for Old Zhu, who had been in a vegetative state (played by Shi Xiaoman). An unexpected incident turned out to be a blessing: Old Zhu regained consciousness, and in return, he awarded Li Shuaiting a generous bonus.
