Plot Summary :

　　Huo Yuanjia (Jet Li After defeating a bullying thug who had dared to challenge him with the youthful, unpolished Huo-style martial arts, his confidence in martial practice soared. Relying on his keen understanding and burning passion for the art, he steadily honed his skills, eventually becoming a renowned martial artist in Tianjin. Yet his temperament gradually grew restless and arrogant, turning ever more reckless and prone to violence. Upon learning that one of his disciples had been grievously wounded by another master in Tianjin—known as “Old Man Qin”—Huo Yuanjia, without seeking the truth, burst into Old Man Qin’s birthday banquet and forced him to sign a life‑and‑death pact on the spot. In their duel, though he ultimately emerged victorious, he paid the ultimate price—losing the lives of the woman he loved most and his daughter. Consumed by grief over this tragic mistake, Huo Yuanjia fell into madness and fled far from home. Later, he found refuge with an elderly villager named Granny Sun and her blind granddaughter, Yueci (played by Sun Li).
