“Chenghua Fourteenth Year” is a light historical comedy directed by Guo Shuang, Yang Huan, and Yang Tai, with Jackie Chan serving as executive producer. It stars Guan Hong, Fu Mengbo, Liu Yaoyuan, Jia Jingwen, He Nan, and Wang Maolei, with special appearances by Li Liqun and La Muyangzi.

The series is adapted from the eponymous novel by Meng Xishi, and tells the story of Tang Fan, a sixth-rank investigating magistrate, and Sui Zhou, a chief sergeant of the Jinyiwei, who join forces to solve one baffling case after another, thwart the conspiracies lurking behind the scenes, and restore peace to the people during the fourteenth year of the Chenghua era of the Ming Dynasty.
