Plot Summary:

     In the early years after the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1950, the Kuomintang’s Secret Service airdropped a high-ranking agent into Yongjiang City from Taiwan to carry out an assassination plot against Yan Fangqiu, the vice chairman of the Committee for Restoring Economic Construction and a renowned economist. The operation was codenamed “Project Frozen Rose.” During this mission, Song Wenbo received assistance from Ye Xinyan, a liaison officer at the enemy‑spy network’s clandestine safe house. In the process, he accidentally wounded Li Cheng, the acting head of the Public Security Bureau’s Intelligence Division—but then discovered to his surprise that Li’s true identity was far more complex than it seemed, setting the stage for a dramatic game of deception. As justice clashed with evil, Song Wenbo uncovered that the real mastermind behind the conspiracy was someone else entirely, and a shocking plot began to unfold. After perilous, life‑and‑death struggles, Song Wenbo finally established contact with the Public Security Bureau, exposed the enemy agents’ sinister scheme, and dismantled the spy ring operating undercover in Yongjiang.
