The entire television series centers on the protagonist, Feng Tianlan’s idyllic dream, chronicling his journey from graduating from an agricultural university and working in the city for three years to, guided by major national policies, returning to his hometown of Pingguo Village. There, he begins by leasing a hillside to grow apples, then shares scientific farming techniques with the villagers, and eventually unites them in a collective effort to develop high‑quality apple cultivation—gradually leading his fellow villagers toward prosperity and a moderately well‑off life.
